How the forecast works

  1. It only uses tonight. Your past games are left out, so it needs a few rounds of yours to go on. Your dotted line and your % appear after round .
  2. Your dotted line is your pace so far. It carries your running total on at the rate you've been scoring tonight, the same way the original spreadsheet did. It never goes below your score now, and never climbs faster than making every bid with every trick would.
  3. Your % comes from playing out the rest of the game 2,000 times. In each run, your score for every round still to come is picked from scores you've had tonight with about that many cards. Everyone else is played out the same way.
  4. A lucky start won't make you a sure thing. While you've only played a few rounds, your scores are pulled towards the table's average.
  5. Reading it: your % is how many of those 2,000 games you won. A tie shares the win.

It can't see your cards, and it plays each player out separately, so the tricks in a played-out round don't have to add up. Treat it as a guide, not a prophecy.
